Airline food

On a recent trip to Indonesia, I took the opportunity to fly in Business class with Emirates Airlines. A great airline i have to say. Excellent service from the moment i stepped on board until i arrived in Jakarta. The fare was quite cheap too so to say compared with Malaysia Airlines.

The meal was scrumptious and mouth watering. After receiving the meal, we were offered a basket of assorted bread delicacies. We have the usual garlic bread to the unusual pita bread, wholemeal bread and other types.

Later after we finished, we were served with assorted chocolates from Godiva. But before we arrived in Jakarta, i was given a whole box of Godiva chocolates as there were extras according to the stewardess. Imagine how happy i was...

But how healthy are airline foods? i wonder...

Little devils

I just adore my mum with her ability to control her patience for doing this pineapple tarts or simply little devils i call them. Looks delicious, but trust me, It ain't easy to produce it. It's like a war for my mum.

For the filling which is simply pineapple, sugar and water; it takes around a day to cook it as the water should be evaporated totally from the pineapple filling as to avoid it from affecting the crust of biscuits and become soggy.

But for all the hard works that my mum have gone through, perhaps it was satisfying for her to see our smiles as me and my family members savor her tarts in every bite.

Bagel ?

Feeling tired after shopping, i decided to stop by at Coffee Bean shop in The Curve at Mutiara Damansara. I had a large hot Vanilla as my drink and i wanted to eat something. Something different to be exact. So i went and surveyed the foods available there.

I was quite mesmerized looking at this donut look-a-like called Bagel. It is served with cream cheese. I wonder what will it taste like as i've never tasted bagel before because it's a rare food in Malaysia. So i tried one.

To my amazement, the cream cheese really compliments the bagel whom i thought was sweet. I enjoyed every bite of it until i forgot to take a sample picture of it. But oh well, i manage to get the last picture before it disappeared...

A cuppa cupcake...

At a recent wedding i attended to, i was introduced to cupcakes. Quite a new and rare delicacy to be used for a wedding occasion especially in Malaysia. But it's brewing up a storm as it is getting famous and people are now replacing them instead of the traditional "telur pindang" that has been normally used for all wedding occasions.

A word of advice, It maybe small in size but don't judge its taste because once you start, then you'll say... "ahh..there goes my diet".

There is a shop that i know of which sells decadent cupcakes situated in Taman Tun Dr. Ismail's Pasar Awam.
